So I was like okay, I’m doing the water drinking and I’m doing the calorie counting and getting in my steps. But I’m supposed to be getting like 170-200 grams of protein. HOW. How do I get that much protein within the range of 1,500 calories. I’ve been looking up like TikTok videos and such, and they’re all like ✨ protein powder ✨. Protein powder is expensive, has worms, tastes bad and also still has calories?! And I like to eat so I can’t do meal replacement?! Also I need to get a scale for gram measurement because I cannot use a tablespoon for everything?!? My bag of chicken today said -100 ..read more

Hi everyone, 26F here. During 2021 and 2022 I had some personal problems, and during that time, I skipped working out. I also didn't watch what I ate. I gained about 25 lbs, going from around 135, to 160. I am 5,3.5", for reference. I do have a naturally heavier built ( broad shoulders, larger bones, but this was still huge). From Oct 2022-July 2023, I lost 15 out of the 25 lbs just by getting back into shape. It also "looked" like more than that, because I toned up. The last ten lbs just aren't going anywhere, so I'm doing a slight diet. Working out 4 days a week , and a ~1750 cal a day diet ..read more

What non-food rewards do you have in mind for milestones? Especially looking for ideas that aren’t clothes!

This is silly, but when I get under 200 pounds (30 pounds away) I’m going to get a Tamagotchi Uni. It’s not hugely expensive but it’s not something I can justify buying with my current limited funds without a good reason. But I’m super excited to get it! It’s cute, it gives me big nostalgia, and apparently it actually encourages you to take daily walks so it might actually be helpful on the activity front. What about y’all? I could certainly use more ideas. Trying to stay away from clothes because I have so much weight to lose that I really don’t want to start buying new clothes partway throu ..read more

hi! i've always really struggled with my weight, but I decided to crack down before I start college in the fall. I started at 199 lbs a month and a half ago, and am down to 182, which I'm very happy about. im doing strength training, but make sure I get in 20-30 min of cardio after every workout. I'd really like to build muscle while losing fat, so I've focused on keeping my protein intake as high as possible (usually 90-120 grams, im working on it) I eat like 1300 cals a day on average, and burn like 300-700 each workout. am I eating too little? I don't want to overeat and not lose fat, but ..read more

I’ve lost about 40lbs in the last 3 1/2 months. I went from 235-194. Before gaining weight I was 200lbs for a few years and now with me being back down to 194 I feel like I don’t look the same as I did when I was 200 a few years ago. I may have a higher fat % now I’m not sure. It’s like I’m not happy with the weight I’ve lost. My body still seems so disgusting to me. My goal was to hit 160 but I’m thinking maybe 150 now. I’m 5’8 19F so I’ve been overweight a while now. I was always a skinny kid and then I guess I really just let myself go. I was so confident when I was smaller. But now I have ..read more

27 yo 5’6 female HW 220 lbs CW 180 lbs GW 140 lbs. I don’t know if I am happy or sad about this but recently I have started looking much much thinner and since I got into skincare a few months ago my skin has been glowing. And I see people treating me SO MUCH BETTER. No one ever greeted me or complimented me before, now people are just nicer and sweeter in general. I am being complemented and offered help by all kinds of men while carrying groceries bags in my pajamas. This makes me feel sad about how people perceived me before and it genuinely is sad how materialistic the world is! Yes, of c ..read more

How to est healthier when I live with parents?

Hi! Okay so I'm currently 15 y/o and I'm trying to loose a bit of weight. I exercise and everything like that but I still have the problems with my dinner. My parents, and I mean no harm in this, are overweight and tend to not eat the healthiest. Dinner is the biggest meal in my house and makes me, without fail, go over my calorie limit. Before anyone recommends it, talking to them about this is not an option. My mum is convinced I'm starving myself and this will just add to her fears. If I eat any less than I do at dinner then it has the same effect. I've tried OMAD but apparently that's bad ..read more

How to start a weight loss journey??

Hiiiii. I'm trying to start a weight loss journey of some sort. Recently, I've tried to start committing, but school keeps getting in the way, so I'm hoping that when summer comes around, I can really "lock in" and follow a tighter schedule. I'm not considered overweight but I would like to reduce some fat in my lower body (I KNOW spot reducing isn't a things) and tone up a bit. Another thing is that I really struggle to lose weight in my lower body (thighs/calves) and sometimes I can see my ribs (if I'm lifting my arms), yet, the fat in my legs is very stubborn. I'm pretty sure that this is ..read more
