Oh hello! I’ve missed this space, even if it’s taken me months to find the time to sit and write again. Time has been a scarce resource, and while I have tried to be better at managing my time, I’ve underestimated the time I’ve needed to spend in the kitchen. I’ve been struggling with this, but it feels like the inevitable has happened. I no longer have the time to maintain MWS ? I’ve tried about 5 times this past week to write this post, which really tells you how much of a struggle it has been, both to find time to write, and to The post The inevitable appeared first on My Women Stuff ..read more

Over the many years of dabbling with skincare, running the gamut from budget pharmacy brands all the way to the pinnacle of luxury brands and products, I now find myself in the enviable position of not caring where it comes from, as long as it works LOL! ? These days, as I don’t throng the The post The Altruist Moisturising Fluid is a simple, effective, affordable moisturiser that does just what it says on the tube – moisturise! appeared first on My Women Stuff ..read more

I sat down and opened up my MWS dashboard for the first time in many months, and the first thing I noticed was – “Oh hello! I’ve published 3999 posts!” That’s 3999 posts written over 17 years – That’s an average of 1 post written every other day. This one makes the 4000th, and I The post 4000 and more appeared first on My Women Stuff ..read more

The Altruist Face Fluid SPF50 sunscreen is a lighter choice for oily skins

There was a recent sale on the Altruist Sunscreen on shopee, so I shared about it on Instagram, and it received a lot of positive response. But I also received a lot of questions about texture, because I previously shared that the Altruist Sunscreen has a thicker, more creamy texture, and understandably, that can feel a little off-putting. Incidentally, I had purchased the Altruist Face Fluid sunscreen in the past, and tried it not too long ago, so I figured that it’s time I shared my thoughts on it. **Read lots more & Share your thoughts here** The post The Altruist Face Fluid SPF50 sun ..read more

Affordable hydration is possible with the L’Oreal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid 1.5% serum

I haven’t been as familiar with many new beauty releases as I haven’t been out and about very much. So what I’ve been doing is shopping my stash and finding new things in there that I might not otherwise have tried! The L’Oreal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid 1.5% Serum is one such product. I received it during an event many months ago, and dug it back up when I was looking for a new serum to use in the day. I tend to use hydrating/hydration serums in the day as I’ve found that that’s when I lose the most moisture from my skin. I attribute this to the weather – just because the weather is hot and ..read more

A funny and interesting thing happened to me very recently. I was with my pup, waiting by the side of the road, when a total stranger came up to say Hi. I was a little cautious, as my pup is easily excitable, and I didn’t want him jumping on her. Much to my surprise, she wasn’t there to say Hi to the pup (most do, so I was expecting them to LOL!) but to me! She said she had been reading my blog for the longest time, and wanted to take the opportunity to say Hi. It was a bit of a whirlwind meeting, and then she was gone, and I was left with my pup, feeling a little bemused, but brimming with ..read more

Trying the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 15 years later – it still impresses

Many people are surprised that my first encounter with Elemis isn’t at their store, or through some viral video, or an influencer on social media. My first encounter with the brand was back in 2009! Yep, they have been around a long time here in Malaysia, and I bet many of you didn’t realise that! Back in 2009, when this blog was in its infancy, I sat down with the then distributors and they shared with me about this new brand that was coming into Malaysia, and let me try some of the iconic products. One such sample was the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. A few years later, I purchased th ..read more

The Altruist Sunscreen SPF50 is easily one of the best sunscreen I’ve used in recent times (and it’s affordable too!)

When it comes to sunscreen, and when I find a sunscreen I like, I tend to be very faithful. There is nothing worse than trying a new sunscreen and then having it fail on you when you need it most i.e. when you’re out in peak noonday sun and you’re overheating or if you burn. Horrors! As someone who has skin that reacts easily to sun exposure (I develop sun spots and freckles very quickly and my skin heats up easily under the sun), sunscreen is my most important skincare product. I will still use a sunscreen that is greasy or heavy, if it leaves my skin protected. I used to get a lot of comme ..read more
