Throughout the day, yesterday, I spoke about the upcoming game against Manchester City at work with supporters of many different clubs. Many asked my prediction, and although I was desperate to win, I stated that anything but a defeat would be quite the result for Aston Villa. Aston Villa’s home and away form this season have been like day and night. At Villa Park, Villa have managed maximum points but it hasn’t been as comfortable on the road. Three defeats to Newcastle, Liverpool and recently Nottingham Forest have highlighted Villa’s issues. On Thursday night, Aston Villa qualified for the Uefa Conference League knock-out stage with a victory over Legia Warsaw at Villa Park.
