Valentine’s Day calls for flowers, sweet treats, and show-stopping lingerie sets. Yet, after V-Day ends, we might still be relishing in chocolates and desserts galore while gazing at our new bouquets, but what about the lacy underthings? Lingerie tends to be taken out of their designated drawer for special occasions and forgotten until the next event — after all the money we spent on it, too! If you’re looking for a set you’ll keep reaching for no matter the occasion, but that still feels like something special, meet Sevigne. The lingerie brand has comfy and approachable sets and separates th ..read more

Perhaps no other city is simultaneously as inspirational as it’s pragmatic when it comes to fashion trends as Denmark’s capital. Sure, New York, London, Milan, and Paris have a lot to say with their big designer names, but you can always count on Copenhagen Fashion Week to serve as a refresher course on everyday dressing; the runways take mixing and matching colors, prints, and wardrobe essentials to an entirely new level of quirkiness that somehow still feels wearable. Taking place before the Big Four, it also serves as the first taste of fall 2023 trends and collections t ..read more

If Cinderella found her glass shoe on the palace doorsteps, I found mine within Dear Frances‘ Pre-Spring Summer 2023 Collection. I discovered the brand in 2017 when celebrities were first spotted in its colorful mules and pearl-embellished slides. Since then the luxury footwear brand has grown a long list of celeb followers — from stars like Emily Ratajkowski, Selena Gomez, and the Hadid sisters to influencers like Elsa Hosk and Chiara Ferragni — and it’s no wonder. It’s prized for its high-quality craftsmanship (each piece is handmade in Italy), and timeless styles. Plus, Dear Frances works ..read more

The fashion world has been bracing for the return of extra large bags for a while now. But the spring 2023 runways, which confirmed their triumphant return to the trend cycle, begged the question: Why did supersized bags ever go away?
Ever since Kendall Jenner was photographed wearing a larger-than-torso Bottega Veneta shoulder bag back in 2021, I’ve asked myself the same question. For years, prior to the pandemic, handbags seemed to get smaller, more impractical, and just straight up ornamental. Think: Jacquemus’ cult Le Chiquito, a handbag so small it spurred an Internet debate after ..read more

February is here, marking the beginning of a back-to-back whirlwind of fashion weeks around the world that we commonly know as Fashion Month. Over the past few years, Copenhagen’s prominence as a global fashion capital has risen, and so have the masses of stylish insiders descending onto its streets.
This season, they’ve come with all the best looks to battle the bitter cold. From silver metallics and furry sleeves to fuzzy hats and boucle coats, the season’s top trends were on display among attendees. There were also futuristic leather trench coats, odd-shaped bags, and practical balacl ..read more

Finding a comfortable bra can often be an agonizing process. A multitude of issues arise: If the cups fit well, then the straps are digging into your shoulders, and if the back is smoothing, then the underwire is digging into your ribs, and so on. Then on top of finding a well-fitting bra, sourcing an affordable one is even more painstaking. For something that we wear on a (mostly) regular basis – and is in a highly saturated market – finding a bra that fits and supports shouldn’t be such a hassle.
Harper Wilde is helping to solve this dilemma, offering comfortable, inclusive, and fairl ..read more

When I first found out I was pregnant in January 2020, I was excited at the thought of my impending maternity style. But any dreams of finding the perfect “mocktail” attire were thrown out the window by March. I wasn’t going anywhere but the living room and the kitchen, so, for nine months, my style consisted of soft leggings, oversized sweatshirts, and fuzzy socks. This is likely why when I found out I was pregnant earlier this year, I was equal parts thrilled and intimidated. The world was open again — I’d have parties and events to attend, trips to go on — the possibilities of finally bein ..read more

How are your new year's resolutions going? If they've already fallen victim to the never-ending experience that is January, we don't blame you. But a new (blessedly shorter!) month is just beginning, we have a suggestion for a new resolution that you'll actually want to keep. For 2023, we're resolving to stock up on even more one-and-done outfits.
The beauty of one-piece outfits like jumpsuits, rompers, and overalls is that looking put-together is effortless — pick one, and your outfit is done. Don’t get me wrong, dresses are great too, but being plus size, my thighs chafe, and wearing jumpsu ..read more

Attention all devoted Free People Movement fans, there’s a new product trending. And, just like its need-to-own-it-in-every-color shorts, this jacket is turning fans into collectors — including streetwear style mavens Hailey Bieber and Kaia Gerber. (And yes, Tiktok has taken notice, too.) In many ways, it feels like a classic oversized zip-up fleece, but with just enough details to make it stand apart from a crowded roster of outerwear. And, as is so often the case with FP Movement, it’s still enough of a basic that you’ll reach for it time and time again. The cozy, fuzzy jacket has ..read more

Fashion Month’s spring 2023 season turned out to be a disappointing downslide in plus-size representation on the runways. With brands that typically make headlines for their inclusive runways (like New York’s Chromat) opting out of the season, the absence of size diversity was palpable. According to InStyle, only 30 of the 327 brands shown offer size 20 and up. But aside from the lack of representation on the runway, there was another huge part of fashion month where plus-size people were snubbed: street style.
Last year, I developed a course titled “Call to Action: Inclusion in Fashion” unde ..read more
