The Rebel Mama

Last week we hosted an incredibly informative event at Toronto’s Soho House, designed to educate people about all things Family Law. It was inspired by one of our favourite badass mamas, Dr Andrea Gelinas, who also happens to be our favourite dentist (and yes, she’s accepting new patients)! Andrea is passionate about empowering women with both financial and legal literacy so she lent her time and voice to the event, sharing some of her first hand experience with separation / divorce and encouraging the audience to trust their intuition, do their own due diligence, and line up a solid support s ..read more

Last week we hosted an incredible live podcast recording event with Joanna Griffiths, founder and president of Knix and KT by Knix. The three of us (and a few dozen friends and collaborators) sat down for an important discussion about Menopause and Perimenopause, essentially blowing the lid off a topic that has been historically under-studied and under-discussed. The good news? Times are changing and information surrounding this important topic is more readily available than ever! You’ll have to wait a couple weeks before you can listen to this very special episode (it drops on December 12, fo ..read more

Design Talk with Adriana Pietropaolo

Design is an art form that often doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It changes the way a space not only looks, but more importantly, how it functions and how it feels. I just moved and wanted some help to optimize my new space, so our friend and RMx Directory partner Adriana came over to give me some rapidfire design advice (a service she actually offers!). I found her insights so helpful that I’m sharing them with the class. Pssst – Adriana has recently created an experiential gift offering just in time for the holidays. APD is offering the APD Design Consultation in two ways this year: an I ..read more

Did you know that that 71% of Canadians use Natural Health Products (NHPs) as a part of their proactive healthcare? If you take a supplement like Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Fibre, Magnesium, Probiotics or if you use natural toothpaste, deodorant or products of the like, then you are part of that majority. In Canada, we’re lucky to have a governing body ensuring the safety and efficacy of the Natural Health Products we consume. Theme Park Vacations: It’s A No
The Rebel Mama

I’d like to preface this, and protect my own dignity, by saying that the only reason we found ourselves at the most famous theme park in the eastern time zone (which shall remain unnamed so they don’t sue us) in the first place, was because of a work related business conference that happened to be there. For 9 years, since having my son in 2014, I have managed to avoid this place, and anything associated with it (cruises, icecapades, any and all experiential activations) like a plague. My defense was – if I wanted to blow 10K on a week-long family vacation, I’d do it on the coasts of Southern ..read more

As we recently announced on our social channels, our bestie just had a baby! Is there anything better than newborn snuggles with a baby you adore but didn’t have to birth?! There is not. if you’ve ever attended one of our events, there’s a good chance you’ve encountered our friend, Ariane; or perhaps you’ll remember her as our go-to photographer (pretty much any photo you’ve seen of us, Ariane has taken); or you’ll recognize her as our muse for the “hot girl break” in Get Your $hit Together. Or maybe you just know her as That Nonna Life.  All you really need to know is that Aria ..read more
