Homeomorphic encryption for hardware security?

Hey folks, I've become pretty engrossed in the idea of homeomorphic encryption recently - it feels like the penultimate solution to all our problems ? I've ALSO been getting into hardware security, considering trying to make some stuff as a hobbyist. Then, I feel like I had what may be a stroke of genius (or the worst idea anybody's ever had - you can judge). What about using homeomorphic encryption on embedded devices with high security needs? Wouldn't this make it virtually impenetrable to any kind of physical attack like side channel attempts, since the data is never being unencrypted at a ..read more

I am working on breaking SHA256, anyone want to join me? I have already worked out a plan of attack but now need to go heads-down and grind it out. Anyone interested or have their own thoughts on the breakability of SHA? submitted by /u/-_-mrfuzzy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am currently working on my master project and challenging with Distributed Federated Learning and for weeks looking for an implementation of MKHE. I founded just lattigo and there is mush noise in data after decryption and I don't know how to retrieve the data after decryption! Can anyone provide help or references? There are multiple implementation of Multi party HE or distributed paillier but all of them just works for integers and I want them to supports floating points. if one helps me to implement support for floating points in them, it is a success for me too... submitted by /u/Annua ..read more

Lamport's signature implementation in Rust

I've recently implemented Lamport's signature scheme in Rust. This implementation allows you to generate key pairs, sign messages, obtain digital signatures, and verify messages using both the signature and the public key. I'd appreciate any feedback on this also let me know if this might be useful in your projects. https://github.com/amschel99/lsig submitted by /u/lehcsma_9 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Trellis Cipher

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out because I'm a bit confused about the trellis cipher, which is a type of grille cipher. I've been reading the Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grille\_(cryptography), but I find the explanation a bit vague and the images don't seem to align with the description. I was hoping someone here with more expertise in grille ciphers could shed some light on the trellis cipher. Perhaps you could provide a more detailed explanation or point me to some better resources. Thanks in advance for your help! submitted by /u/technikerrrrKS [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is it possible to brute force the rotor and plug board configurations for a ciphered enigma text if you know that you are expecting a certain sequence of letters to appear like they did in the movie?
