Hey everyone! So a conversation I had this morning about basketball players has opened up to a larger conversation about athletes in general—I have always followed American gymnastics fairly closely, but I'm curious about non-American gymnasts who had their careers stopped because of an injury. I know about the sad story of Sang Lan, but am more curious about gymnasts who were Olympics-bound, got hurt, and then either "aged out" of the sport or decided not to pursue the following Games and where they are now. If any gymnasts spring to mind, I would love to learn about them!

She may not have achieved what Georgia wanted, but it sounds like she was well liked by many of the gymnasts and created a program people enjoyed being a part of.
I'm not sure what Mr Kupets does but I think he's British - so neither of them are likely to have local family - and their kids are all very young, so that makes a move more possible if there is an opportunity to be had.
On the other hand Courtney bleeds Georgia and I'm not sure how much she would want to go to any other college, even if offered. There's non-college coaching, of course, but I don't know if she has much experience of ..read more
