I was young when Robby was running for RCR. I do remember him being a prick and that he wasn't well liked. I've spent the past few months re-watching the full 2001 and 2002 seasons and it seems that he was severely disliked by just about everyone in the garage. Again, i remember him being a prick and not very popular among the drivers but damn, dude never got a break from anyone. I wonder what he did off camera that made him so hated by everyone. They got the Spring Bristol day race from 2007 on.
What a good race, shame the modern cars aren't even as good as the COT at short tracks. You can really see how hard these shit boxes were to drive.
All this bobbing and weaving and bouncing in and out of the track you never see that today!
Plus a 500 lap race? No stages? That's real men racing.
Edit: how about the camera work too? Amazing. Fantastic. Close to the track, not a mile away. Why is that so hard?
Hopefully NASCAR executives watch this race and see what they can have if they get rid of stage racing and get harder to drive cars.

Cicero's Split of Racing's Deep-Dished Beef
Into the suburbs of western Chicago we go, to a track recently lost to time: the Chicago Motor Speedway.
finding images of this racetrack with NASCAR-sanctioned vehicles on it was tough, all I found were open wheel cars
Overview and History
Located in the Chicagoan suburb of Cicero, Illinois, the Chicago Motor Speedway opened its doors for racing in 1999. Built as Chip Ganassi’s answer to Tony George helping bankroll the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, the 1.029 mile flat oval resides on the site of an old horse racing joint known as Sportsman’s ..read more
