I think we were spoilt, we were in the golden age, where young players in the 90s thought "hey snooker is a valid career choice!" - that's where the ronnies, the williams the higgins, all mastered the craft, because "millions of pounds to be made". I think young people now don't see snooker as a valid means of financial success, so there's less people investing in their skills and talent in the sport.
