Hi, I'm a very short person (168 cm) playing on a mixed net (about 2.24 meters or less) and I'm very much struggling with the overhand serve. I'm curious how long it took you to learn. I understand the fundamentals of keeping your elbow above you ear and really doing that swing motion when hitting, and also that you should hit the ball with the lower part of your hand so it goes up (?) and ofc positioning so that your hips rotate inwards and stuff. But really combining all of that is a struggle to me, as there's always something off about the serve, and if it's not the strength, then it's me ..read more

Not sure this post fits the category, but I just wanted to say thank you to all the people that helped me figuring out in my previous post how to perfect my hitting form. I know I still need to learn and perfect the technique, but since the last time I wrote here I feel like there are small improvements and I owe it all to you! Again, thank you, and if you have any constructive criticism, feel free to comment! ??

i am coach for a 12s volleyball team and we are the top team for our age at our club. i’ll be honest i am a tough coach, and ive seen myself over the season be maybe a little too tough, this is my first year coaching so im trying to have grace on myself that it’s ok to make some mistakes as long as i learn from them. we are in our last month of the season and the girls have all admitted that they don’t trust eachother and don’t play like a team. i’m kinda at a loss i don’t know what to do. no one on the team really steps up to lead and bring them together and they all kinda play like they hat ..read more

So I play boys volleyball for my local high school, I’m a junior and I was unable to play volleyball until this year so I’m very far behind. I was looking into playing beach volleyball over the summer but I can’t find any leagues or tournaments. So I started looking into pickup volleyball near me but I cannot find any. If anybody know of any places near Cleveland OH that I could play pickup volleyball that would be great, beach volleyball would be ideal but I just wanna play more volleyball.

All I’m saying is I can’t stand my racist ass boss and can’t wait to jump ship to the other clubs. Already got an offer for this December. This might not seem like a big deal, but it’s a huge deal for myself and some of my coaching friends. It also benefits league workers if your city has multiple volleyball companies.
Anyone else excited about this?
