Anyone else having Youtube shorts randomly start playing in different tabs?

Latest version of Firefox. I usually have 2-3 tabs open. I've noticed this for probably the last few months or so. I will have Youtube shorts paused in a tab I am not currently using and it will randomly start playing. Both the video and audio. It's not every time, but I have noticed it happen more than a handful of times immediately after refreshing the page I am currently on. uBlock Origin is the only thing I have ever installed and even with it disabled the problem will happen. Any ideas on how to stop it? I did not have this issue when I tried using Chrome or Opera, though I only used eit ..read more

Using about:profiles to launch a separate browser causes the performance of the original browser to tank after shutting the new browser down again

My normal firefox profile uses plenty of extensions to improve my experience. Thing is I do not fully trust these extension developers so when I want to do something sensitive like internet banking I launch into a new profile via about:profiles that is just a fresh browser with no modifications at all. Once I'm done with my banking I close this browser however that's when the problems begin. Basically, all the tabs of my original browser session will become unresponsive or 'lose connection'. I have to do a full restart to restore functionality which is inconvenient. Does anyone else experienc ..read more

Certain 3D CSS usage crashes webrenderer on Windows, making the whole FF process run poorly until restarted

hello firefriends! I write a website-game that prominently uses 3D HTML/CSS to render its environments. I recently identified some very strange behavior where, on Windows only, in one of the "rooms" being rendered, having the camera sit at a certain angle along with certain animations running causes the entire browser to flash white/black for a second, then crash the webrenderer. walking and looking around at a smooth FPS, then a sudden flash followed by slowness! for context, the ground is a canvas (which flickers away post-crash), everything else is a div or pseudoelement looking at a p ..read more

Videos automatically pauses when interacting with websites or switching tabs

The problem occurs on almost every website with video (it doesn't happen with Youtube for whatever reason). On X-Twiiter ("ex-twitter"), whenever there is a video playing and I hover the mouse over a username, the video pauses when the popup appears. Afterwards, when I directly click on the video to play it without first clicking somewhere else to close the popup, the video plays and immediately stops again when the popup goes away. On other sites (and X-Twitter), switching tabs, scrolling down, or (inconsistent occurrence) ctrl+clicking links causes videos to pause. All of this is not normal ..read more
