This afternoon, we kicked off a four-day conference designed by and for women leaders. Continuing a tradition we began just three years ago, we are meeting both in-person in Orlando, Florida, and broadcasting live to women leaders around the world through our virtual platform.

What is the status of women’s advancement in the workplace? The latest data is in: It could now take another 131 years for the world to close the Gender Gap, according to the World Economic Forum’s latest Gender Gap Index.
Women have been reentering the workforce at a slightly higher rate than men, with parity in labor-force participation increasing from 63 percent to 64 percent. And yet, parity is still at its “second-lowest point since the first edition of the index in 2006” and is “significantly below its 2009 peak of 69 percent.”

In June, leaders, organizations and communities come together to recognize Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community’s freedom to be who they are and their progress in the fight for equality. The month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising that took place in New York City in June 1969.
