I recently pulled my Vive out to try VR again (I had a PC that was powerful enough to play VR and it died around 2020 give or take, bought the headset around 2019). Before I was using it on an i5 9600K, 16GB DDR4, RTX 2070 Super, and it ran great for the time I had that PC. I'm looking at getting an Index or Pro 2 kit (from Marketplace) mostly to get my hands on some 2.0 base stations but would also use the HMD itself occasionally. Does the Pro 2 require use of the HTC Vive / Viveport whatever software to use it? I use a Cosmos Elite occasionally but it requires that software to be running and no matter what I do I cannot get any SteamVR games to run at higher than 30 fps in-headset. Hello, I have the original HTC Vive. The headset light is green, the basestations are paired through the cable and set to A and B. The SteamVR thing know shtat its on and knows when it goes to sleep mode, but the base stations are not tracking it. Ive tried different USB ports and HDMi Ports.
