If you blind the gravel with sand and contain the edges that should be ok with compaction. Sorry dont know what a horse blanket is, use something that doesnt rot or go moldy like polypropylene carpet, the cheap stuff.

Ok I am getting a 18 above ground pool and I have to build up ground instead of taking out because the pool is going near trees and roots. My question was would I build up the ground with like #11 gravel something small that will compact and not move in the area and then put a pool mat or I was gonna use a horse mat from rural king where the pool will go and set it up on that. Seems fine to me but I am completely new to this and wanted more opinions from you guys on this

$219.99 would have been the price to buy. Oh well. Next time a sweet price like that comes along, I won’t hesitate. It’s back up at like $280

I am trying to install a replacement coil to my tempmaster 400 and if I place the insulation blanket and insulation board that has the lip cut out of it so that it can rest up and flush against the combustion chamber wall where this meets the manifold, the coil then does not have enough space to fit to align with the manifold to bolt it in. If I pull the insulation blanket and board away so that insulation cut out/lip no longer rests on the combustion chamber cut out area, then the coil will fit and align with the bolts but then there is a gap in the insulation to the combustion wall and it cl ..read more

I'd like to say thank you to all those who post helpful content on here - it really is appreciated even by the secret readers like me (richie967 and Teapot1)
So I've just started to mark out and clear the area for a pool in my garden in the heart of Yorkshire, England:
- a 4m x 2.5m pool, approx 1.4m deep, constructed from blocks on a concrete base, in ..read more

Why were you brushing a fresh suface 2-3 times per day? Thats bound to expose agregate and roughen the surface. I would have increased the alkalinty to cause a hardening cure of the surface for a couple of weeks before doing anything else.

Replastered (premix marble light, brand: Marquis, color: Miami Blue) my inground pool 2 weeks ago. Brushing 2 to 3 times per day and testing and balancing the water daily. Today was the first day I went in the pool and the floor of the pool is very rough. It actually hurt my feet to walk on it. Is this normal? Is this part of the curing process? Will this get better over time? I hope so. Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Frank
