(KRON) -- Blake Mohs, 26, was shot and killed a little over a year ago while working as a loss prevention officer at Home Depot in Pleasanton. Police say he was shot after confronting a woman for shoplifting. That woman was later identified as Benicia Knapps. She was eventually charged with murder, and her accomplice, David Guillory, was charged with child endangerment and accessory to robbery. (KRON) -- The former accountant for a paver company in Richmond was charged with six counts of embezzlement, money laundering, identity theft, and tax evasion, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office said on Tuesday. According to the DA's office, Angela Fae Brown, a 53-year-old Olivehurst woman, engaged in a $800,000 embezzlement scheme from September 2017 to November 2022 on her former employer Viking Pavers in Richmond. Gerald Camposanto Cerillo, 44, is accused of using an elderly Los Altos Hills couple's debit card for 15 unauthorized ATM withdrawals -- resulting in more than $10,000 worth of cash stolen. (KRON) -- An Oakland pastor and retired kindergarten teacher is facing mounting medical bills after a crash left him possibly paralyzed, the Oakland Unified School District said. Rickie Hannah's car was stopped when he was rear-ended by a speeding truck on Feb. 14, OUSD said. He suffered a severe spinal injury in the crash.
