Hello, Basically since i'm not getting a lot of traffic in general and from Google specifically, i'm thinking of deleting majority of my content (articles) and start fresh with new SEO strategy plus, i want to test this as a case study as well however, i'm not sure how to do that and if it's a good thing or not. so i have two questions: Should i delete the content and send it to trash directly or put it on private instead? Do you think doing this can badly affect the website? I had to mention though that 70-80% of the content is written with AI and edited afterwards. Edit: I believe tha ..read more

May 2024: Google Will Fight Site Reputation Abuse Spam Both With Manual Actions & Algorithms

Google's new spam algorithm update also introduced new spam policies including the upcoming site reputation abuse policy that won't go into effect until May 2024. Google has confirmed it will fight site reputation abuse spam using both manual actions (humans) and algorithms (machines). Truth is, Google fights search spam a lot using both methods - algorithms and humans. So it should not come as a shock that Google will also fight the new site reputation abuse spam the same way. Source: SE Roundtable submitted by /u/WebLinkr [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I got a Google Penalty. What to do now?

My blog got a google penalty (Manual Action) regarding spam-content. Our traffic went from 6,000/mo to 0. Literally zero. We fixed the pages in question and can't rank anymore. I've invested a lot of time and money into this site. I really don't want to give up. Can you recover from a google penalty? Or does google forever see me as a scum bag that doesn't deserve to rank. submitted by /u/Business_Tangerine88 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, I am an entrepreneur and am creating an access to justice platform (I will be bootstrapping the costs) to assist mortgagors/homeowners who are at risk of imminent default or fall within one of the five stages of mortgage delinquency (not everyone has access to equally competent counsel or affordable legal representation, not everyone is equally capable of advocating for themselves/defending their rights, and not everyone has the resiliency to weather the emotional/mental/physical trauma that delinquency and foreclosure cause). I am at the stage of seeking SEO and website professionals. Ho ..read more

Some of my observations after this March update. Feel free to share yours as well!

SEO is entirely transformed now. Everything we've learned about on-page SEO seems to be causing Google to remove us from the SERP. It's not the fault of SEOs; Google has changed the rules. They are now prioritizing high-authority, forum, and brand websites. Product-first and blog-second sites are gaining traffic. I've also observed that factors like internal linking, keywords, and H2 tags are causing websites to be deranked. Interestingly, sites with poor SEO or those focused solely on user experience, not SEO, are getting ranked higher with this update. Content length isn't the issue anymore ..read more

Thoughts on Matt Diggity

Whats everyone's thoughts on Matt Diggity? Is his advice worth it? Are his sites helpful? Personally he kind of strikes me kinda like a con-man. His YouTube videos are surface-level helpful, but so many of them repeat themselves, and is full of so many "enroll to my X class" "subscribe here" "enroll to my Y class", etc. He claims he has 7 sites that earn monthly big sums (I think he said either 5 or 6 digit). I dunno, what does everyone else think? submitted by /u/BigBeerDaddy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, we have been struggling to beat a competitor with a Location name. The company we are working with has a brand name. Let's call it Brand Company. We are trying to rank it on the keyword Sydney Plumbing but there is a company called Sydney Plumbers and despite having only 8 backlinks, we have 134, and they have 9 review on GBP, they are ranking number 1, we are number 2. My question is, how do I beat a Location Company if I have a Brand Company? Scenario: Keyword: Sydney Plumbing Sydney Plumbers (Rank 1) Brand Company - Sydney Plumbing (Rank 2) submitted by /u/kimtanseo [visit reddit] [co ..read more
