Liverpool were always due to have an away match against one of their biggest rivals on the third weekend of March, although it wasn’t the one which was originally intended. As per Liverpool Echo, there are now two dates available on the calendar for our visit to Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League – Wednesday 24 April and Wednesday 15 ..read more

Ian Wright was critical of one Liverpool player following the FA Cup exit against Manchester United on Sunday. The Reds twice relinquished winning positions to end up losing 4-3 after extra time and bowing out of the competition, and the ITV Sport pundit felt that one of Jurgen Klopp’s substitutes failed to have the desired impact. The ex-Arsenal striker said: “Obviously they’re going to be disappointed with it because he [Klopp] said there were chances in that game where Liverpool could’ve finished it off, but the final ball and finishing weren’t really great. “I didn’t think C ..read more

Chris Sutton simply couldn’t believe what he saw from one Liverpool player during the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on Sunday. The Red were leading 3-2 in extra time when Darwin Nunez cheaply gave away possession 30 yards from goal with a slack pass, and his error was punished in the form of an equaliser from Marcus Rashford, with Amad Diallo then scoring a last-gasp winner for the home side. The quadruple? A quadruple? Either way, it doesn’t matter now… Manchester United’s stunning comeback victory against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup means that Jurgen Klopp’s dream of bowing out of his current stint in charge of the Reds with four trophies is now over. He came close to completing the feat in 2022, when his side secured both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. However, LFC missed out on the Premier League title on the final day of the campaign to Manchester City, before also losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid despite being dominant throughout ..read more

Former Liverpool teammates Alvaro Arbeloa and Fernando Torres infamously clashed with one another on the touchline when their respective teams faced each other last May, so when the two were in opposition again over the weekend, all eyes would’ve been focused on the pair. The duo are now coaching Real Madrid’s and Atletico Madrid’s under-19 teams respectively, and a match between the capital rivals 10 months ago became notorious for a furious spat between the two bosses. (Image) ‘Baffling’: Ex-Red questions decision for Fernandes to not be sent off against Liverpool

If you could try and pick everything you don’t want your captain to be, you couldn’t find many better candidates than Bruno Fernandes and this was on show in our game against Manchester United. After giving the ball away for our second goal and then getting booked for his petulance, the Portuguese midfielder then proceeded to keep moaning at the referee but with no further repercussions. Not only this but the Old Trafford skipper then threw himself into a tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai on the edge of the box and Neil Mellor has been convinced that it should have ended in a red card.
