My wife is 31 weeks pregnant and we’re in Texas. Am I able to take her to AFB Sheppard to be seen? She seems to be having severe food poisoning and can’t keep any fluids down.

This post is more of just a rant. I feel as though I don’t need the xtra time on the back end to recover from pregnancy I feel god at 8-9 months. But more on the front to recover like three months seems like a lot but the minimum around the world is being six and that’s around when I started mentally checking back in. Also now that I’m 8 months I’m also coming up on a promotion that I can’t hit because of my status also I want to do the extra activities. MAI , MCIWS things of that nature

I know this is a long shot, but I’m hoping I may be able to find anyone here that served with my dad during his time in the Corps from 1970-1974. Douglas James Prichard. Served in Vietnam Marine Observation Squadron 6 (VMO - 6). I’ll post in the Veterans subreddit as well.
He is likely going to pass away from lung cancer within the week. He never talked about his service, and I know it affected him deeply. If anyone at all would like to leave a message for him or a funny joke, I’ll be reading him everything you guys say. He loved his Marines. Thanks

I can't begin to describe how terrible the medical separation/medboard process is and do it justice.

I'm here to vent (bitch) about this process on a burner account because there isn't a single socially acceptable moment for this to be talked about unless it's someone else dealing with this. It's like meeting another boot in alphas at the airport when you're in alphas at the airport heading to SOI, and then awkwardly talking about what it might be like. That's the only comparable feeling. I'll cut to the chase.
First you get injured, not a lot of places in the Marine Corps are willing to accept you actually got hurt save for your limb being blown off. You instantly get labeled as a turd, and ..read more

Super random. I was an ACE officer, but not pilot, on the Arlington in 2015/16 for the 26 MEU.
Going through old boxes I found an envelope a Navy 1st Class gave me to give to one of the Air Frames or Avi guys for the 53s as I disembarked once we got home. Problem is, I wasn’t at his home squadron.
It was a female 1st Class (I think maybe the head cook on ship?) and it was for a SSgt at the time. I have carried all these years but never opened it. I’ll attach a picture of it.
Honestly I just want it to find its true home. If it’s you, SSgt who was the defacto barber for the ACE and who wa ..read more
