I keep looking at the clock. The hours and minutes keep ticking by and I am powerless to stop them. Each tick of the hands brings us closer to the moment when we have to let our son go. We knew this moment would come but it is SO much harder than I thought it would be. Just thinking of it makes me start weeping all over again. He enlisted in the Army last year while still a Senior in high school so it's not like it was a sudden surprise. I have known. But now the actual day has arrived and I am not okay.
