Google Ads Pmax campaign Rapidly Declining ROI

I launched a pmax test campaign in google ads in mid-oct 2023 to attempt to get new customers to our small ecommerce website that only sells our product (premium raw honey - super niche). I struggled to optimize the ads to get a google ads ad quality rating near 100%, always maintaining it above 90%. In the first month cost per new customer was between $26 and $159 (huge range as google ads conversion tracking is almost always completely untrustworthy). I believe actually cost per new customer is closer to the low end of the range. Lifetime value of a new customer for us is estimated at $150 ..read more

Is there no way to track purchase conversions when embedding a booking system to website?

I’ve been trying to figure this out for years. I use Wordpress. I have Acuity Scheduling for booking appointments embedded on my website (service business). There is no way for conversion data for purchases to be imported into Google Ads. I can integrate GA4 with Acuity and see purchases there, but I can’t attribute purchases to the user who made them, so they’re worthless. It seems that Acuity does not support UTM parameters so all purchases are attributed to “direct” traffic. So google ads registers 0 purchase conversions. Then I end up bidding for secondary conversions like pages visited a ..read more

Should I Turn "User-provided data collection" On In Google Ads GA4?

I set up GA4 months ago and now my google expert is telling me I have to update it by turning this setting. Here are the problems: 1) Once you turn it on you can't turn it off 2) It is still in beta 3) When I researched it I could only find one person talking about it and they said not to turn it on in their youtube video. (Link provided below) This video was made 4 months ago and the main problem he found with it is that when you turn it on you are no longer able to track conversions. They don't pop up on google analytics and thus don't communicate with google ads. He said he'd make an updat ..read more

Enhanced Conversions

I've been pressured by Google to enable Enhanced Conversions, but I'm hesitant because we primarily handle B2B, and I'm concerned it might skew our leads towards consumers, which isn't our target. From past experiences, when we uploaded customer lists, Google struggled to match them since their system better suits individual accounts rather than business emails and phones. Google has acknowledged this limitation. My worry is that enabling this will lead Google to optimize for consumer interactions, where it has more comprehensive data, thus creating an unwanted bias towards consumer leads. Do ..read more

Hi. I remember running Google Keyword Planner and it used to show the exact number of searches and trends. And now I don't see it. It just give me an extreme wide range of searches like 10k-1m. Did Google Keyword Planner change or am I doing something wrong? Appreciate your help in advance. Thank you! submitted by /u/GovernmentNew6719 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Updated Conversion Import UI in Google Ads

Google has recently updated their UI for creating conversion actions. It has changed quite significantly when you select the Import and Track conversion from clicks options. Google is now requiring you to select a data source to connect to. This functionality feels a bit clunky. I want to import my conversions manually form a Google Sheet. I don't know what option to select for my data source. When I choose Google Sheets, it gives me two options of Direct Connection or Third-party integration by Zapier. If I select Direct Connection, the additional help text appears: To connect to your data s ..read more

Google Ads SEM leads/conversions for my large, multi-national B2B org. are down nearly 100% for Q1 2024 compared to Q1 2023 - I have no idea why.

Title explains it. Using updated (but similar) creative, running to a similar audience, and with higher daily budget, last year we averaged 250~ leads per month. This year, we're averaging ~100. Our impressions, CTRs, etc are all on par from last year, no red flags, but our forms are not converting. Is there something inherently different this year with Google? Did the algo change significantly? We have several different versions of our creative and they all see similarly decent CTRs but we arent converting at nearly the rate we were last year. Is anyone else experiencing similar? submitted ..read more

Hi all, I’m familiar with setting up an AdWords account for one small business but have just joined a company whose profiles all seem to be controlled with different emails and users. As I’m trying to pull everything together for them I want to know the best practice for the following scenario. Business with 4 independent branches for the same company (area based) and each Google business listing has a unique login email account. I want to set up a single AdWords account to use a pixel tracking all of the usage and traffic across Facebook, YouTube, website and all four GMB listings. Can I set ..read more

Most impressions for German Display Ad come from India. Any idea why?

I've set up a display ad aimed at our German customers with texts in German. I've targeted all countries while setting the ad language to German, understanding this would reach German readers globally. However, I'm puzzled because for every impression from Germany, there are 15 from India. Do you have any suggestions or similar experiences? submitted by /u/MarvinBlome [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
