The last 20 have been especially important to me because I specialized in senior living facilities, from what we in Canada call independent living through to long-term care and care for people living with cognitive disabilities.  ..read more

My name is Tammy Murdock, I am an enthusiastic artist who does illustration, collage and hand lettering. I love wonky lines, splatters of paint, earl grey tea, warm socks and drawing outside the lines. I live in Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island and I have been an artist since I held my first crayon. When I was a child if there was ever art involved in any project I was happily there. All throughout school I chose as many art classes and electives as I was allowed. My favourite assignments were always in art or whenever maps or title pages were needed. Then when my own children were young I w ..read more

This may surprise you but I only started to draw when I was in my late 30s. Until then I basically hadn’t done a drawing since I was a kid.  But in the last 20 years or so, I’ve filled over a hundred sketchbooks.  I don’t know the exact number, but there’s been a lot of them.  Let me tell you how I went from zero to 100 with a few ideas you can absolutely use yourself to draw more and better. Filling a hundred sketchbooks wasn’t my goal when I started out. I just wanted to get back to drawing and I wanted to find a  way to fit it into my life. No time. My life  was ..read more

Sketchbook Skool Blog
by Danny Gregory

with help from David Elliott First off, what do you mean by “creative goals”? Well, a goal is a personal objective that you’ve spent the time to clearly define. I want to draw every single day or get up early to paint or turn TV time into sketch hour or join three Spark sessions every week this summer c. Outcome oriented: E.g. I want to compl ..read more
