  It's True  gentle reader... I love the color brown.. and brown loves every other color.. It plays so well with color.. I love making books with brown as my base and often my substrate This time with reds and browns.. What I love about slow stitching is the lack of agenda.. I choose to stitch when I have a painting that won't behave.. or a series that won't come together.. all of my control issues are shutting down the flow.. I have always been an artist.. my family gave me that title as a toddler.. I remember when my 1st grade teacher asked us to draw a picture of our family my people looked different from the regular  stick people.. my father had a suit and my mother wore a  faux Chanel suit complete with pearls! Her name is Psyche.. and  I thought it would be quite difficult to create a book about a creature representing a Soul... but actually  when I saw the below photo of the  shadow of the photographer... I thought that the shadow was a perfect idea of the reflection of the person.. the  soul.. the pockets always represent the hidden  parts of us that we often keep quiet..  and  then there are the bits that are the decoration of  personality...
