February 20, 2024, Fujifilm launched the latest version of its X-100 fixed lens compact cameras. This month's gallery is a brand new one: DUBAI AIRSHOW 2023. Since I first came to Dubai in 2002, I've attended all of the biennial Dubai airshows. It has been great to see the shows evolve to what they are today; a large scale Aviation trade-show on par with the Paris and Farnborough events, that puts Dubai on the map.  It's not your typical airshow, but rather a trade-show which showcases the future of Aviation in both military and civil aircraft. This month's Gallery of the month is SIDEWAYS, a personal project born after having been confined during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Once the lockdown was lifted the hot and humid Dubai summer was already in full swing. Going on extended road trips around the UAE quickly became the new photo "walk". The gallery I choose this month is my "NATURE OF THE UAE" collection; as the name implies a series of image shot in "nature", not in public or private zoos, some in conservation reserves. When one thinks about the UAE, sand and desert is probably the only nature that comes to mind. Over the years, Photography projects have become a more important part of my photography work. Living in a Muslim country as a non-muslim, has definitively opened up my horizons.
