 A COLD BRIEF WALK ON THEMACNAUGHTON-MORRISON TRAIL IN EXETER ONTARIO TODAY Looking out the window this morning we could see it was not looking like a good day.  It was snowing and the winds were whipping the snow around.  Kelly's dental appointment in Exeter Ontario was for 11:30 a.m. and knowing Winter's antics as well as we do I knew by 11:30 everything could very well be fine.  So, with Johnny Mathis in my head singing Sleigh Ride, Pheebs and I set off in the Jeep first thing to check out the road conditions.  I quickly determined the weather was ..read more

 OUR GOLDFINCHES ARE WEARING THEIR DULLER WINTER COATS Up on the early side this morning we were all dressed and ready to go to.......nowhere.  We had a plumber coming at 8:30 to fix the water faucet in our shower.  It had been increasingly hard to turn and it was making an awful scrunching noise as if the rubber seal behind it was binding.  I was worried it could tear and we could have a major flood behind our wall somewhere.  The plumber arrived around 9 and twenty minutes later we had a brand new smoooooth working trouble free shower faucet:))  Y ..read more

 ROTARY COVE Morning sunshine through the Pine trees is always a nice way to start the day.  Had that sunshine remained for the day it would have made for an even nicer.  But, November had its way again and socked us in under a heavy cloud cover for the rest of the day.  A COLD WET GLOOMY LATE NOVEMBER AFTERNOON A slow Jeep ride to Goderich found Pheebs and I following our usual routine route taking in a Mcdonalds' coffee, the harbor, and a stop at Walmart.  Nine items in my cart with no big ticket items came to over $90.  Bizarre!!  I can s ..read more

 HEADING EAST UNDER A HEAVY GRAY CLOUD COVER EARLIER TODAY It was just me in the Subaru heading to the Stratford Subaru dealer this morning.  Subie was overdue for an oil change and they managed fit me in this morning at 10:30.  I rolled out of the driveway under a heavy cloud cover but at least it wasn't raining and Tuesday's gusting winds had stopped overnight.  And, once again you can tell that the majority of today's photos were taken through Subie's windshield or side windows while on the move.  I think of every 100 photos I take, two-thirds of them are t ..read more
