Under bright sunny skies, it was 'finally' my turn to drive again so I picked up my good buddy Richard at the usual time this morning, and off we went to find us a couple coffees to go and two carrot muffins. Our country road coffee tour took us through Clinton's Tim Hortons and then northwest of Clinton around the Auburn area and Ball's Bridge. Twas a fine morning for a country road drive and a chat:))

A COUPLE OF HAPPY GUYS TO FINALLY BE OUT AND ABOUT THIS MORNING
In a perfect world, it would have been a big bright, sunny morning with warm temperatures for our first day back on the road in 6 weeks. However, it is what it was and with Willy Nelson's song, 'On The Road Again' rolling around in my head, we happily headed out into the countryside with Pheebs window down and the heater on despite a cold rainy drizzle and cloudy skies overhead. It was 37F. I had hoped to start our day off with a good old country road walk but it was not to be so we headed off to G ..read more

A combination of heavy winds and rain made for a wet start to our day but luckily it quit before Pheebs and I headed out for an even shorter Jeep drive around the Park than usual. With all the rain I knew the road down around our recycle area in the Parks's south end would be a muddy mess. A few far-off pics of a Canada Goose on the pond and that was about it for photos. Another reading day tucked away in my recliner. Tomorrow morning, Pheebs and I will once again be traversing our area roadways:))

DOGGY IN A PARK RESIDENT'S WINDOW THIS MORNING
A big bright sunny day for the most part. I like it when that happens. Now, if we could just get some heat in the air. It's always the earlier part of March every year when I begin checking the 14-day weather forecast looking for warming trends and by golly, it looks like after today our daytime highs, aside from a few minor short-lived dips will continue well into the beginning of April. And, I see a lot of sunny days coming up. Oh my, is it even remotely possible this is the end of it and that we may have a ..read more

HERE'S A COMBINATION OF COLORS I'VE ALWAYS LIKED
Sort of a sunny sunrise but it didn't do anything to make the frigid 19F temperature feel any better. Fortunately, our weather once again begins to roll towards Spring Sunday with predictions of 50F on Monday. Shorts and tank tops eh. With a few snowflakes drifting lazily in the air Pheebs and I headed out on our short Jeep ride around the Park's roads. I could feel myself getting antsy about heading out into the countryside and had to remind myself I only have 3 more days to go with this temporary med ..read more

With a snowstorm warning and 23F temps upon us first thing this morning we braced for the day. A light snowfall began falling early on just before Pheebs and I headed out for a short Jeep ride jaunt around the Park's roads. Luckily, we didn't get as much snow as we could have. Maybe an inch or two.

Luckily, the weather was clear when we woke up this morning but the forecast for the day was not the best. We had a decision to make. It was important that Kelly not miss this medical appointment at University Hospital today. I was fully prepared to drive her to London but with the weather clear at the moment Kelly decided she would be okay. If the weather deteriorated later in the morning into this afternoon Kelly and her daughter, whom she was meeting at the hospital, would find a room and stay in London overnight. So that was the plan. Kelly rolled out o ..read more

A GRACKLE FLARING IT'S WINGS
Try as I did I could not convince myself to even set foot outside the door on this cold and gray snowy day, except to top up the bird feeders. With a chance of blowing snow this morning, Kelly yesterday phoned and canceled my Physio appointment in Exeter. She didn't want to be out there driving in bad weather conditions and I don't blame her. In fact, I was relieved not to have to go. My next two appointments have been rescheduled to after March 27th when I can once again legally drive myself there. I have one week to go ..read more

A skiff of snow on the ground under a cold gray cloud cover didn't do anything to enhance my outlook for the day. In fact, when it started snowing I thought, "the hell with this" and headed for my sunroom recliner and my book, No Jeep ride this morning and the snow kept falling. And, it's predicted to be like this for the next 5 days straight. If you don't hear much from me for a few days just know I am tipped back in my sunroom recliner with a blanket pulled over my head.......reading.

WE HAVE 3 FRONT YARD BUNNIES VISITING US DAILY NOW
It was encouraging to see sunlight streaming through our living room window first thing this morning but that encouragement soon dwindled when an unseen cloud cover soon blotted out that encouragement. With a few lazy snowflakes in the 33F morning air, Pheebs and I slowly made our way around the Park's road for fifteen minutes before returning home and backing the Jeep into the carport. Another 9 days and we can finally burst out of the Park and take to the country roads again:)))))
