Michelle Yeoh on stage at the Golden Globes last month
Michelle Yeoh well and truly stole the show at the Golden Globes last month – not just for her much-deserved win for her performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once, but also the brilliant way she handled producers trying to cut her speech short.
After being awarded Best Actress In A Musical Or Comedy, Michelle began speaking about her experiences after almost 40 years in the entertainment industry, but it seemed organisers felt she’d taken up enough time.
The Tomorrow Never Dies star wasn’t having it, though, and when exit mus ..read more

Donald Trump just offered voters another reason why they shouldn’t send him back to Washington in the next election: the possibility of a “revenge tour.”
The former president made the suggestion on Thursday during an interview with conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt, after a question about how he might use the powers of the White House to “punish people who punished you.”
Trump tried to come off as a magnanimous statesman who wouldn’t take advantage of the nation’s highest office to go after his enemies.
“No, I wouldn’t do that,” Trump insisted. “I want to bring our country forward. No ..read more

Pope Francis was fingered as the source of much Twitter mockery on Thursday after he posted a now-deleted tweet extolling the virtues of “the middle finger.”
The tweet was part of a series posted by the pontiff that suggested five “ingredients for the future,” with each corresponding to a finger on the hand.
For instance, Francis said the thumb is “closest to our heart” and “symbolises prayer, while the index finger corresponds to “community” since that digit is used to “point things out to others.”
But what he said about the middle finger got Twitter users all bird-brained. Francis ..read more

Boris Johnson has been branded a “coward” and a “liar” as his spat with a right-wing US TV presenter cranked up a notch.
