Premalu:
A lighthearted and well-made romcom that’s in equal parts funny and Gen Z relatable. It is a medley of anecdotes—the office environment, the pleasant girl, the colleagues, the after-work parties, the hunt for a decent job and accommodation in a metropolitan all but serve as the background for the simple love story.
The characters don’t intend to chew scenery through long and overwritten dialogue so the actors can practise their acting chops. Situations are far from contrived, never overblown for dramatic effect, and flow organically, and we’re left wondering whether much of the writi ..read more

Watched Chamkila last night.
Hard to express in words but what a wonderful film.
Imtiyaz direction and flow of the film is fantastic from first frame to the last.
Dilijit is absolutely delight to watch. Would love to see him get more offers. I think he can easily slide in many low budget movies. All other cast members did well.
Rehman music is good but Kamil lyrics are awesome. All singers sang their songs well. Menu Vida Karo is a gem.

Akshay Kumar – shooting mess! by Master
Firstly, Akshay, and to a lesser extent Salman, were the only stars you could have signed a movie with just for the paycheck allure. All the other stars eventually started looking for scripts and the folks they make movies with. As everyone became selective and hard to get, Akshay utilized that completely and was available for any businessman turned producer waiting to make a movie. They could only get Akshay, as no other top star would ever do a movie just for the money. Akshay does so many movies, he has no qualms about script, director, or even leadi ..read more

Folks easily missing the point with Akshay Kumar. Yes, most of them struggling but there’s a huge difference. Salman Khan has 2 releases and even with lazy 10 yr remake and hideous promotions and with a horrible director, Kisi ka Bhai, Kisi ji Jaan did over 26+ cr on Eid and Tiger 3 did over 42 crs on Diwali. That’s what the stars can do and if the content is bad, it’ll flop and that’s fine as long as you have pull.
On other hand, Akshay has seriously dented his stardom and that’s the biggest alarm. He had few flops like Bachchan Pandey but Samrat Prithviraj with his 40 day shooting seriously ..read more

The Fabelmans:
A film that works better as a poignant family drama than one that chronicles the early years of one of the most celebrated movie directors of all time. The internet and Spielberg himself call it ‘semi-autobiographical’, but it has less to do with the protagonist’s tryst with movie-making and more with the emotional struggles of being in a family with the mother wanting to move on and being picked on at the new school, where being the only Jewish kid draws attention and bullies …
The best and the most exciting portions of the film were the first fifteen minutes, where a young Sa ..read more
