You can keep Lightroom Classic as your primary photo archive and sync selected photos to/from Lightroom’s cloud to access on your mobile devices. You just need to be aware of the limitations. Many of us find Dark Mode easier to read. But how do you set this on LightroomQueen.com – and on the Lightroom Queen Forums? It’s not difficult, let’s look at them one by one. (Behind the scenes, they use different software, so must be set separately.)   LightroomQueen.com main site This one is actually very easy. Notice in the bottom-right, there is a crescent shape: Just click on it to change to Dark Mode, and click again to switch it back to Light Mode.   LightroomQueen Forums It’s really easy here, too, but this time, it’s a simple link in the bottom-left corner. By default, it ..read more

If you’ve been around the Lightroom community over the last week, you’ve probably heard a lot of chatter and even more confusion about Lightroom’s new Local mode. What’s New in Lightroom Classic 13.0, Mobile & Desktop (October 2023)?
The Lightroom Queen Blog

Lightroom Classic 13.0, Lightroom Desktop 7.0, and Lightroom Mobile 9.0 have all been released today. As Lightroom is subscription software, this isn’t a “big release” in the conventional sense. Adobe tends to update the main version number annually around the time of Adobe Max, and this year is no exception. Of course, new features have been released every few months, rather than having to wait for a single x.0 release. In the last year, we’ve had (only main points listed): Lightroom Classic: 12.1 (December 2022) – Masking slider and panel updates, Canon native tethering. 12.2 (February 202 ..read more

The newest Mac operating system, macOS 13 Sonoma, goes live today. The big question is, do Lightroom and Lightroom Classic work? But at this point, we’d recommend waiting at least for a few days, or longer on production machines. It’s not just Lightroom itself (a ..read more
