Following last year’s take on Gerard McMahon’s Lost Boys hit Cry Little Sister, Zetra have released a cover of The Cure’s Burn.  The corpse-painted synth-rock duo’s take on the track, written for the 1994 Brandon Lee ultra-goth movie The Crow, comes head of their forthcoming dates with Creeper and NAUT next month.  Commenting on the track, the enigmatic pair said:  “From three decades of ash, a Fire is rekindled. Around the Flame, Zetra build an altar. Pray with us. Dream the crow black dream.” The band, who recently announced their signing to p ..read more

Sophie Lloyd and Chris Robertson have shared a new video for their collab Let It Hurt. The track is taken from Sophie’s recent album Imposter Syndrome, and she says that her work with Black Stone Cherry’s frontman made this one of her “favourite” tracks on the record. “I had the main riff for this song written a couple years before the album just saved on my computer somewhere,” Sophie says. “Then when we started writing I was looking through my old archives and re-discovered this and we [Chris Painter and myself] wrote the rest of the instrumental in one day. Earlier tonight (February 7), Skindred picked up the Best Alternative Music Act award at the MOBOs.
