A new leader is joining Funko on May 20. Cynthia Williams has been tapped to lead the Washington-based pop culture lifestyle brand as CEO and will serve on its Board of Directors. Interim CEO Michael Lunsford will remain in command until that date. Williams joins the company from Hasbro where she most recently served as President of Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Games. Moose Toys, the company behind Beast Lab, has partnered with WWE to release Heroes of Goo Jit Zu (HGJZ) action figures inspired by four WWE stars. Report: ‘Extraction’ Director Tapped for Matchbox Movie

Mattel’s next flick is taking the toy company from the Dreamhouse to the matchbox.  According to a report from Deadline (which has since been confirmed by Mattel), Sam Hargrave, the director of the first two installments of the Extraction film franchise at Netflix, has been named as the director for the upcoming Matchbox movie from Skydance and Mattel Films.  The film will be based on the script from David Coggeshall (Orphan: First Kill) and Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project).
