I've got a 1999 dodge dakota slt. 5.2 V8 with a automatic transmission. And I am wondering if a automatic transmission out of a 1999 dakota 3.9L V6 will work in my truck without having to do more than just bolt and mount it in the same place as the transmission that is already in my truck. Last year I ran a new hot-wire from under the fuel pump relay to the pump which kept me going until last month. As I have a nice access hole above the pump now I tapped in a ground wire and connected it to the truck box. Fired right up. After a half hour's running I drove it from under the tree where it had been sulking into the sun to put the access cover on.
