Was wondering if anybody has ever ran into this issue: 1998 PCM. The tuner has tuned SEVERAL 1998s in the past and has never encountered this issue before. Frost wrote a mail order tune on my pcm a couple months ago with no issue. When my tuner attempts to write updated fuel injector data to the pcm it appears that it works, but then it doesn't save the data and he gets an EEprom error message and the car won't start.. Quick release setup, 13" wheel with 3 buttons on the wheel. Transbrake, bump, line lock. 5 bolt wheel but with a 6 bolt quick release hub, using a 6 to 5 hole conversion spacer. I wanted to run this specific wheel, with these types of button holders, and it's only offered in a 5 bolt setup and I wanted to use an NRG quick release hub. Single coiled wire instead of 3 different coiled wire/button combos costing $50-$60 each. This method simplifies the wiring and is less expensive. 20 years ago when I did my cam swap on my 99 TA I removed the AC lines at the condenser I didn't know to put tape over the hose connections. it took a few days for me to finish the cam due to rain. I believe this is how I ruined my AC moisture entering the sys. I believe the clught on the compressor still engages.(I'll confirm this ) after cam & reassemble of AC lines I recharged w/ one large can of refrigerant ( I never sucked out the remains)years ago I have been told this moisture in sys. turned to ice an wreaked the whole sys.is this true or false? over the years car mainly sits an r ..read more

This is a 2003 Z06 track car. The motor is not stock but is built to stock power...I am told it is forged. As a whole, she has been flawless and performed without issue. I recently did some brake work and went out for a little test drive. I drive aggressively for 10 minutes on a private road - get back to the house and then take my daughters boyfriend out for a drive (to scare him) - this is when it happened. Just picked up a 2004 LS1 drop out motor from a C5 w/4L60e tranny. My previous C5 had a manual transmission, which I replaced the clutch on previously so I'm familiar with that. But on the back of the drop out LS1 that was an auto car, the flex plate has another steel plate added to it. Is this plate required because it mates up to the tq tube first? Can I take off the metal plate and reuse the C5 flex plate mated to a 4L60e an Fbody? Thanks ..read more
