The summer season is definitely gone! October is here, and with it cooler temperatures are already descending on the Airstream. Seriously, the temperature has dropped a good bit today, and a lot of rain is in our forecast. Things do change quickly these days don’t they?
Over the past week I’ve been working hard on my latest online photography course. Quite an ambitious one too. Covering cameras from smart phones to DSLRs, this course is going to be a long one that I hope offers a lot of value to potential students. And go figure, this upcoming week promises a lot of rain, so ..read more

Here we are, Monday September 17th, and I have a lot of catching up to do. I totally forgot last weekend’s re-cap, but that’s okay. Today’s post will get you all caught up with the Airstream Chronicles.
Learn Lightroom, Drone Photography, and Website Building
As of today I have 3 courses up on Udemy, and I’m working on course number 4 as well. Developing these classes is an interesting process, and I’ve learned a lot from my first course launch last year, X Theme and WordPress for beginners.
If you’ve ever wanted to build your own customized website with WordPress and X Theme ..read more

It’s been an incredibly busy time here at the Airstream Chronicles. New podcasts from the week, testing out a new aerial imaging platform (in other words a drone), and launching my latest class at Udemy.
First how about we talk about the new class? I’ve spent many weeks compiling this course, taking a lot of drone photos, editing a lot of video, and the course is finally good to go. It was approved on the last day of August 2018, and I’m pretty darned excited.
If you’re interested in flying a drone, and you’re also interested in improving your photography with your drone, thi ..read more

Monday through Friday every week I’ll be doing a daily podcast. And for those of you who might miss out on an episode or two I’ll make sure to post a weekly wrap up post here on the topics covered so you can catch up on anything you missed.
Monday August 20th Podcast Show Description
Just because you’re a full time RV’er, or you work for yourself, or you run a small remote business with employees scattered across the country, what you do has value. Don’t devalue what you bring to the table because of the lifestyle you’ve chosen.
Today’s topic comes up after a conversation with a friend a ..read more

For the last few months I’ve been focusing on several different projects here at the Airstream Chronicles. As I announced a few months ago I started working more on my YouTube Channel. And while the channel has grown I’ve found that I’m unable to get more regular updates out on the channel. The bottom line is simple…..
Making YouTube videos is really time consuming! To make the types of videos I’d like to post is a very time consuming project! So, I’ve shifted gears and rethought what it is I’m up to.
Years ago I included a regular podcast on the blog. And ..read more

It’s been a while since this site has had an update. I’ve been extremely busy working on the new YouTube channel and posting a lot of content over there. But as one long time reader here pointed out, he likes to come here for updates and doesn’t usually stop by YouTube. With that in mind, I can bring the new YouTube content here as well. Below you’ll find a playlist for part of the content on my new YouTube Channel. Mobile Tech, Mobile Home, Mobile Living.
Why make a channel on YouTube???
There are several reasons, but one primary one. After activel ..read more

Several months ago I announced here that there was going to be a shift from the blog to YouTube videos. I was a little nervous at first as YouTube and video are new media formats for me. Sure I’ve done a random YouTube video here and there over the past few years, but that’s not the same as deciding to put up a series of videos.
I’m proud to say that I’ve sat down and really dug into producing some regular YouTube content now. My most recent project, “7 Days of Solar,” came to an end a few days ago. You can see the whole series in the link below.
Moving to video isn’t ..read more

This blog has gotten little love over the course of 2017. While I feel bad that it has been neglected, I’ve still been putting a lot of content out on the web this year, just not here. Honestly you’ve only got so much time in a day!
So, where has my attention been this year? Well, part of my attention has been dedicated to clients of course. And since August I’ve been learning a ton about drone piloting. I’ve also been working on a new web project to demonstrate the power of good SEO. And I’ve been putting together several instructional courses over at Udemy ..read more

Yes, The Airstream Chronicles Blog has been incredibly quiet over the past few years. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want free stuff. I’ll take free stuff any day of the week! But that’s not really what this post is about. Today I’m writing about inquiries to my clients over the years from “Bloggers” who are looking for free stuff when they really shouldn’t be.
I’m also a drone pilot, and would love some free stuff from drone manufacturers
