A different take on why Plague DK -- and now Reno Warrior -- bother people so much

I think we're all aware that lots of people have redirected their anger at Plague DK toward Reno Warrior now, but I think many people who hate these decks cannot articulate exactly why they bother them so much, and I think it's worth trying to parse out what's happening here. I think the first thing to acknowledge is that neither Plague DK pre-patch nor Reno Warrior post-patch are the best decks in their meta; heck, Plague DK was barely tier 3 before the patch, and yet people still hated it. So when we talk about decks that feel oppressive to play against, there is a lot more going on than a ..read more

Started casually playing in 2014, made legend a few times, but it was a grind to get all the 1k wins special avatar skins for each type. Learned a lot about playing different styles of decks though. submitted by /u/JSaunders64 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Beating warrior is easy. Just play a 6/6 on turn one, and a 15/15 on turn four.

Warrior Dominates Control Matches

Brann simply gives too much value. Once he's dropped you get outvalued and it's a slow painful death. Warrior looks like a fantastic deck to play but it simply outmatches every control deck in the game. In Diamond 5 and above I'm just running intro control warriors now and i've simply hit the wall where I can't progress anymore. submitted by /u/Budfox_92 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

It took me almost 9 years but I finally became a Legend

For 9 years, I sometimes played the game too much, and sometimes I didn't play it at all for a few months. I've wanted to try Legend a few times before, but after Diamond 5 it did nothing but annoy me. This week, I finally managed to control my nerves and made it to Legend, thanks to a lot of free time. I played a Pirate Rogue deck and the last game before ..read more
