The Phoblographer has always spoken about the most exciting, best, or most innovative cameras and lenses over the years. After all, that's what our readers are so keen on knowing about! However, each year brings us a more pumped-up version of photographic equipment, but it also makes us forget about our roots. Don't get me wrong: We all love a high-megapixel camera that can peer into the pores of a model's face. But it certainly should not be at the cost of traditional photography. For educational purposes, we have decided to collate a list of various forms of lensless photography, which is so ..read more

Quite recently, we spoke about eight potential lenses, thanks to the new patents filed by Fujifilm, Nikon, Tamron, and Cosina. While some lenses seemed pretty alright, there were others that made us think: 'Okay, they are trying.' However, as you can see from this list, one company is missing: Canon. It may seem they were not doing anything, but that is not true. Canon has filed a new patent, P2025019790, which showcases new types of zoom lenses. What is it about? Panasonic has an exciting launch this month: the rumored Panasonic S1R II. We have already stated that the company should have launched this device last year, but for whatever reason, that dream never came to fruition. But now, despite the delay, rumors state that the launch is set to unveil on February 25. However, you may have to take this with a pinch of salt because the CP+ Show is happening two days later. While we have already reported on what the specs could be, it appears that there will be certain changes to the sensor. Here's a look at the report ..read more

I'm currently typing this article, and water is coming out of my eyes. But that's not because I'm crying tears of joy; to be honest, I haven't done that in a few weeks. Instead, water is coming out of my eyes because of how intense the process of using my contact lenses is. If you've followed this site for a while, you know about how I was one of the testers of a product that Sony created for the low-vision photographer. And you might've been one of the people protesting our changes to reviews due to my mission to make photography accessible to everyone. What some of you might not know is that ..read more

And with certain LUTS attached to your images, you'd even want to set the white balance to get a look that you're really dreaming about. Let's explore when you'd want to really ..read more

This year, HARMAN is releasing something very special: a redscale film. Films like these deliver effects that you really need to embrace as it's often completely different from anything that you'd otherwise see. In fact, I don't even think that I've seen photographers embrace these when shooting digitally. Rated at ISO 125, the new Harman Red 125 35mm film will make your images quite red. And though we haven't shot with it yet, we have a feeling that it's very similar to other redscale films that we've worked with before ..read more
