Saw a bubble craps strategy yesterday where the player put $1 lay bets on the 4 & 10 on the come-out (it would pay $0.47 each on a come-out 7 winner or $0.94 total) and he would put $2 on the DP (which would lose on the come-out 7-11's). Then once the point was established he would move the lay bets to buy bets on the 4 & 10 and they would pay $1.95 each on a win. If the point was 4 or 10, he had the option to move the buy bet over to the sister number but didn't. He only put $20 into the machine and wasn't budging more than $5 from his buy-in over half an hour, so it just seemed like ..read more

Hey Math Guys
Let's say I offer the 3 doors game as an online game as it was done, but the payout goes like this.
We know that after the player chooses a door, he gets to see a door with a goat behind it and is asked if he wants to switch or stay.
Let's say he placed a bet of $100 and the payout looks like this
The player who switches gets $150 for his $100 bet = $50 profit.
the player who stays gets $300 for his $100 bet = $200 profit
This should be a game with no house edge, if I am not mistaken.
My question is:
What should be the minimum and maximum bet for such a game with no house edg ..read more

What's the return?
link to original post
I get a house edge of 2.53%, or an RTP of 97.47%.
I might have miscalculated any surrender option.
A lot of these machines I've seen are multi-denomination, and higher denominations may have better rules.

Did you really calculate the "dealer stand on 6 cards or less" rule? That means sometimes dealer gets a stiff hand (16 or less ..read more

Is it all class 2 slots?
So not worth checking for plays?

You won't find any casinos or cardrooms in Seattle. There are cardrooms in the surrounding cities and suburbs, and slots can be found at the tribal casinos ..read more

I believe this bet pays on Trips or better. Another way of looking at the two-way bad beat is to say you are paying the second highest hand. In this case, using the Wizards analysis, a player will have less than trips 77.9145% (according to Trips side bet paytable). So if you take (1-0.779145)^2, which is the odds of both hands being trips or better, you get a quick estimate of the hit frequency of 4.88% (not precise as it doesn't take into account cards used in the first hand not being available in the other), but is probably good for an estimate. The real number is likely a little bit lower ..read more
