Circle of the Moon Druid Magic Item
Stuffer Shack | A Resource for your Role-Playing Games

Right click, save, print In D&D 5e, there are a lot of magic items.  Some benefit more types of characters than others, and few benefit the Circle of the Moon Druid specifically.  The ability to Wild Shape into beasts between rests can be formidable (especially when you get to do it twice), but the limitation on using magic items as a beast is not.  I believe this class ability loses a little of it’s luster as the character rises in level, so I created a magic item specifically for such a character.  In essence, it enhances the Wild Shape class ability. Hey, there! Murder Hobos has just ventured out into roleplaying apparel, and Stuffer Shack is showcasing their wares. If you like gaming shirts and hoodies, then at least one of these designs might be just for you. The shirts range from $16 – $19 with minimal shipping, so I think it’s a pretty good deal.  As more designs are made, I’ll post them here. Also, to be honest, this would be considered a sponsored post, but I honestly do like the designs! Murder Hobos just started an Instagram page, and orders are fulfilled through Teespring.com. click here to get yours… click here to ge ..read more

“ROLEPLAYING: YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG”
Stuffer Shack | A Resource for your Role-Playing Games

So, you have your character… some extremely talented wizard with maxed-out Intelligence.   18 or 19 is pretty high, right?  And their name is… Grandalf (true story).  You’re boppin along with your merry band of fellow adventurers when you come across a puzzle inside a dungeon.  The gamemaster must have put a lot of effort into this thing because this puzzle looks particularly puzzling.  Hieroglyphs, numbers, and weird color patterns.  It’s not a trap, it’s a puzzle, and nobody can figure it out.  Not even you, and you’re the smartest gamer you know. If you’ve known me for awhile, you’d know that I’ve been making some version of Mini Counters and Condition Markers here for a long time. In addition to that, Stuffer Shack has been sort of a catch-all for RPG ideas and things… We’ve held a few RPG Site of the Year contests, had a few articles series (such as Playing with Fate, Shadowrun Anarchy, Classic Fantasy), had several giveaway contests, and (of course) posted many, many ideas to steal for your characters, encounters, and so on.  Lots of different things going on here for the past ten years! Well, I’m starting a new company at Monger ..read more

I’m backing more Kickstarters, and I started with this one…

When it comes to backing Kickstarters, I’m very finicky.  Too finicky.  So when I find something that piques my interest, it’s a big deal for me.  You can laugh at my laughably low number of backings, but no more!  I’m starting a new trend of just going for it with anything and everything–starting today. MODERN: NECROMANCY – THE BOOK OF THE DEAD caught my attention.  It’s written by Ray Machuga and is based out of his Higher Grounds (Pathfinder compatible) Modern Adventures RPG, but I intend to scrape content for my horror and fantasy games I run in the future. The book offers rules for deat ..read more

Who has the balls to confront THIS dark psychic force?

Cha’alt… the latest from Venger Satanis… Cha’alt is a gonzo, eldritch, science-fantasy, and post-apocalyptic… all rolled together in one big book.  It’s a ruined world, focusing on a couple of smaller dungeons before getting to the main event – the megadungeon known as The Black Pyramid. Even though there’s plenty-o-dungeon, there’s also a space opera bar, domed city, mutants, weird ass elves, desert pirates, a city ruled by a gargantuan purple demon-worm, and more. Venger says that Cha’alt is compatible with both old school and 5e D&D, but says it’s geared more for OSR. This is not a re ..read more

Game Master and Player Disagree – Now What?
Stuffer Shack | A Resource for your Role-Playing Games

I’ve been into RPGs for a while now, and I’ve enjoyed both playing in and running the game. I guess I’d split running vs. playing as 50/50, so I’ve had my fair share of game masters to learn from, and plenty of time to solidify my own style. I recently sat in a game with a brand new game master, and (like usual) had a grand time. This was his very first time running a gaming session, and I’d say he did a good job. He’d been playing in the game for a couple of years, and he’s one of those people who can read a book and remember everything—so he’s pretty knowledgeable about the rules. We had a g ..read more
