It’s NHL Draft season. Both the Kings front office and and MM staff have turned their attention from on-ice action to what’s coming up in Las Vegas next month. Generally speaking, Mayor’s Manor prospect interviews are reserved for players who were previously drafted. This next featured prospect in our 2024 series is rather special, though, as he’s already been featured on Kings of the Podcast. What makes this player even more remarkable are his familial ties to SoCal. It’s a rather revealing interview and should not be missed. While last Sunday may have brought the final Kings-related hockey game in SoCal this season (when the Reign were eliminated from the AHL playoffs), there is still one LA prospect fighting for a championship. Kaleb Lawrence — who is either 6-foot-6 or 7, depending who you want to believe — has a shot at winning the 2024 Memorial Cup. After starting his 2023-24 campaign with the Ottawa 67’s, he was traded to London just before the OHL Trade Deadline in January. The Hunter Bros. serve as GM and coach over one of junior hockey’s best franchises and they felt Lawrence could be a nice addition for ..read more

It’s been five months now since we first shared some information about what it is believed to be a new Kings jersey for the 2024-25 NHL season. For those playing catch up, several sources have told Mayor’s Manor to expect a rebrand in the months ahead. Mentioned in our original article was a desire to move back toward the early ’90s Kings look. After dropping behind Coachella Valley by two games in their best-of-five series, the Ontario Reign were forced into a corner Sunday night with a must-win Game 3.
