After a long wait, Soho House finally opened its doors in Sai Ying Pun in Hong Kong. Although plans to offer hotel rooms were scrapped, it boasts a range of amenities including Soho Active, which includes a state-of-the-art gym offering fitness classes. The cinema, a popular feature at many Soho Houses around the world, also sets it apart.

Luxury brands may be struggling to court customers in Hong Kong, but one category that is still booming is beauty. Sephora recently opened its doors in the city, bringing with it a host of new brands including Drunk Elephant which was recently sold to beauty giant Shiseido. After so many years in the industry I feel it’s vital to give back to the next generation. I was honoured to host a conversation with one of fashion’s most powerful female visionaries, Tory Burch, at SCAD Hong Kong in March. She shared her insight into building her billion-dollar empire followed by a mentoring session with a select group of students.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to moderate several events with some of the industry’s most prolific and well-respected talents throughout the year.
Highlights included a Facebook Live Q&A with designer Victoria Beckham who spoke about her highly anticipated makeup launch in Asia. One of fashion’s most respected icons, Iris Apfel, visited Hong Kong for the first time.
