#11 Terriers continue their stretch of seven conference games in January with a home-and-home series against #19/18 New Hampshire. Tonight’s game is at the Whittemore Center with puck drop set for 7 p.m. NESN will air the game, which also will be live-streamed on ESPN+.

During his weekly media call, Coach Jay Pandolfo revealed that 2025 recruit Mikhail Yegorov has enrolled at BU second semester. He declined to elaborate other than to say there were several reasons for the move, whilw adding he will discuss it further when the highly-regarded goalie officially joins the roster. Before that happens, Yegorov, reportedly an excellent student, must be cleared by the NCAA.

With dramatic goals in the final minute of regulation and in overtime, the #14 Terriers brought new life to an old cliché—snatching victory from the jaws of defeat—as they edged Harvard, 2-1, in the opening round of the Women’s Beanpot at Matthews Arena.
Junior Sydney Healey notched the tying goal with 55 ticks left in the third period and grad student Lindsay Bochna called game at 3:43 of overtime. Terriers will meet Northeastern, who defeated BC in the semifinal, in next Tuesday’s championship game at TD Garden.

Junior assistant captain Quinn Hutson’s 3-goal, 2-assist performance in the sweep of Vermont has brought him Hockey East Player of the Week honors. After scoring twice in Friday’s 6-1 win, the oldest of the Hutson brothers had a goal and two helper Saturday as BU’s second line—Hutson-Jack Hughes-Cole Eiserman—exploded for five goals and five assists.
Hutson has been on a serious “heater” beginning with the 4-2 win over UMass (G,A) on Dec. 11. Since then: 2G,A vs. Yale, 2G in first UVM game and G,2A in the second.

#15/13 Terriers continued to flex their offensive muscle, piling up seven goals to complete the series sweep of Vermont with a 7-4 victory at Agganis Arena before a crowd of 5,597. BU’s second line racked up five goals and five assists, led by Cole Eiserman’s hat trick and an assist. Quinn Hutson and Jack Hughes each had a goal and two assists. Jack Harvey and Ryan Greene also scored.
The win improves BU to 11-7-1 overall and 7-3-1 in Hockey East. They remain in second place, a point behind Maine. Terriers also have climbed to #8 in the Pairwise rankings--up five slots ..read more

Assessing the Terriers’ first half struggles in some games, Coach Jay Pandolfo lamented on Thursday’s media call that “We haven’t possessed the puck in the offensive zone as much as we need to. We haven’t created second and third opportunities for ourselves like we need to.”
BU certainly got the message in a 6-1 win over Vermont at Agganis Arena. All night, the Terriers had long possessions in the Catamounts’ end, creating those second and third chances through aggressive fore-checking and puck retrieval.

After a first half of the season, which at 9-7-1 failed to live up to preseason expectations, the #15/13 Terriers return to the ice for a Hockey East series, hosting the Vermont Catamounts tonight and tomorrow. Friday’s game starts at 7 p.m. ET with ESPN+ providing the live stream.

At the 2025 World Junior Championship in Ottawa, Team USA rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Finland in overtime, 4-3, and successfully defend the gold medal won a year ago. After Brandon Svoboda triggered the comeback with his third goal of the tournament, Cole Hutson, on a strong individual effort, brought the U.S. even in the final minute of the second period with his third goal of the tournament. Following a scoreless third, BC's Teddy Stiga scored the game-winner.

Cole Eiserman's second-period power-play goal proved to be the game-winner as Team USA defeated Czechia, 4-1, in the semifinals of the World Junior Championship in Ottawa. In the gold medal game on Sunday, the U.S. will face Finland, who edged Sweden in overtime, 4-3. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. with NHL Network carrying the game live.
