I usually don’t go on therapy cat visits right after an out of town trip. But this week was the only time slot available for the assisted living residence in July. And since my assisted living visits are usually pretty low-stress for me, my human felt confident I’d be okay to go. And I was. In fact, I had a really nice time! It was my human’s birthday on Sunday, so her boyfriend took her, and me to Santa Barbara for a quick overnight trip. As soon as we got all our stuff in the hotel room, he gave her this really cool birthday card. The hotel’s rooms all had mismatched vintage furniture and a lot of character. Plus lots of mirrors too. There was even a small kitchen, but of course the humans didn’t use it. They went out somewhere nice for dinner. I was the only one who used the kitchen at all. So she used her expert research skills (i.e., Google Lens), and found where to get it online. Next thing I knew, it was sitting on our doorstep! I had so many tongue out photos this week, I could have made a whole outtake post with just them! But I wanted to give you some variety, so I threw in a couple of others too. Every so often, if my human orders something for pickup from Target, I get to go along! I do enjoy coming with her, even though it mainly just involves sitting in the car with her. If you recall yesterday’s living room photo that went with my post, you also might recall how nice the lighting looked. My human sure did, and she liked it enough to set up another photo session. I’ve got a new cat training challenge! My human has me learning to do two of my tricks in one. First I have to do the high jump (which you first saw me do here) and then ring the bell (which you see me doing quite a bit). My human left the video running during a lot of my practice.
