Kirkland Signature Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon Review
Reverse Wine Snob

Stags Leap at a substantial discount, but does it measure up? We review the 2022 Kirkland Signature Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District, Napa Valley, California. Unlike a lot of the Kirkland Signature wines, there is no indication of the winemaker or producer of this bottle, but given it wears the Stags Leap District AVA, the grapes definitely come from this exclusive area. And what an exclusive area it is, especially for Cabernet Sauvignon, with the Stags Leap District garnering a premium over the Napa Valley as a whole, which already commands ..read more

Renieri Invetro Toscana Review
Reverse Wine Snob
by Jon Thorsen

A smooth and tasty Super Tuscan, we review the Renieri Invetro Toscana available at Total Wine. A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, all organically grown from Tuscany, Italy. The wine is aged in barriques for 12 months. We're big fans of Super Tuscans, which is basically the Italian term for red blends that are not produced inside the normal rules and regulations of each region. They vary widely in quality and price but thanks to the lack of rules, they also allow creativity to flourish. Let's check this one out. Sample submitted for review. The Renieri Invetro Super Tuscan ..read more

Substance Ro Rosé Review
The Reverse Wine Snob

The replacement for the Kirkland Signature K-Vine rosé? We review the $9.99 Substance Ro Syrah Rosé found at Costco. Rosé made from Syrah from the Buckshot Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope of the Columbia Valley, Washington State. The Substance Ro Rosé is available at Costco for just $9.99. We're not sure if it is a Costco exclusive but it does not appear to be available anywhere else. Well, isn't this interesting? We were wondering why we hadn't seen any new vintages of the Kirkland Signature K-Vine line recently, especially the K Vine Rosé when lo and behold we find what looks to be the exact ..read more
