It was mostly quiet as the NFL Trade Deadline passed at 4pm EST, with most teams staying put instead of investing their future with draft choices or other players being on the move. The Dolphins were not one of those teams, as they made two moves prior to the deadline for the future and also to shore up their run game. The first move was shipping off slot receiver Isaiah Ford to the Patriots in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick. The Pats have been desperate for wide out help, and are no longer the threat they have been over the last 20 years. With Ford gone, Antonio Callaway’s role in th ..read more

I don’t have a concrete answer for you as far as any moves we’re going to make,” Dolphins coach Brian Flores stated Wednesday about Godchaux. One option for Miami is to start giving a chance to Raekwon Davis, picked in the s ..read more

The Dolphins have decided not to go away from Ryan Fitzpatrick at the quarterback spot for now, and will stick with the vet this week against the 49ers. That means, at least for the moment, rookie Tua Tagovailoa will continue to sit and learn. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said Monday that he wouldn’t be pressured into starting Tagovailoa. Another reason the team isn’t making the move to the rookie is the fact that the QB’s past hip injury remains a factor. Fitzpatrick has the Dolphins sitting at 1-3 a quarter into the season. The 37-year-old has produced a 69% completion rate, six total t ..read more
