Morning This might and hopefully will be a simple question and answers. I'm trying to set the tool length offsets for various tools on my Bridgeport mill, using qc30 tooling. I'm inputting the length from the tool tip to the holder shoulder into the offset table, along with the diameter. When running a program, I zero the first tool to the top of the job and run that part no problem. Then after a tool change, the z height just changes to the figure in the offset table, irrelevant of where the quill position is. I am almost 3 years into build my Avid CNC pro 4" x 8" with DMM servos. Rack and pinion system so servos need to rotate the opposite way to move it one way. Almost got it running but í have the problem that the slave servo goes the wrong (right) way when I put it in Slave to Y mode. I cant invert the rotation because slave servo settings just follow the settings of the master servo. I have bobcad 21 and I have a lathe with fanuc oi-tc control. My cd with post processors no longer works. I have been using a post processor for fanuc 18 it and I can get it to work but it does some things that are kind of unhandy. For 1 thing it tries to post in radius rather dia. if I dont click on the Y=Y*2 under envirorment. Another thing is unless I click on no numbers it outputs strange things when posting a code for a G71 cycle. If I click on no numbers it works ok but I have to do this every time I open bobcad.
