June 12 – The Premier League is potentially facing legal action from one of its club owners over its profit and sustainability rules. Aston Villa’s Nassef Sawiris said the financial restrictions “do not make sense”, and that regulations that say a club can lose no more than £105 million over a three-year period are having a detrimental impact on the game. June 12 – In the first official spat with UEFA among those competing in the upcoming Euros, Switzerland have filed a formal complaint regarding the quality of the playing surface at their training camp. The Swiss team began training on Monday at the home of lower-league German side Stuttgarter Kickers but coach Murat Yakin is unhappy with the conditions. Bulgarians invest in more cameras to improve VAR decision making

June 12 – The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) is to invest an additional BGN 200,000 (€100,000) per season to improve the VAR system in the Bulgarian first division – the efbet League. Currently, the BFU pays BGN 1 million (€500,000) per season for VAR. Georgi Ivanov, the new president of the BFU added that the association cannot afford to bring VAR into the Bulgarian Second League, as it does not have the financial means to pay.
