Bournemouth post £44.5m profit after return to Premier League

March 28 – Premier League Bournemouth has reported pre-tax profits of £44.5 million for year ended 30 June 2023 almost £100 million up from 2022’s loss of £55.5m. The club’s turnover rose by £87.8 million to £141 million, compared to the previous year’s £53.2 million. March 28 – The Premier League has agreed a four-year partnership with virtual reality (VR) software developer Rezzil to develop a VR game which is expected to be launched later this year. Rezzil, based in Manchester is a specialist in the production of sports gaming software for athlete training and game analysis within virtual reality. March 27 – FIFA have threatened the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) with suspension after a local court postponed the federation’s annual general meeting. In a letter signed by FIFA’s chief of member associations Jean-Marie Kenny, the world federation demands that the FKF stage their AGM soon so that elections can be organised later this year, expressing “great concern” about the situation. FIFA refers to article 69 of the FKF statutes and article 58 of the FIFA statutes which stipulate that recourse to ordinary courts is prohibited unless foreseen by FIFA.
