Mets right-handed minor leaguer Christian Scott, who leads the minor leagues in strikeouts with 26 in 14 1/3 innings, was moved today into Baseball America’s top 100 prospect list.
Scott makes the list at No. 100 and joins fellow Mets minor leaguers IF Jett Williams (No. 30), IF Ronny Mauricio (No. 87) and OF Drew Gilbert (No. 91).
Scott, who has a 3.77 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP over three starts at Triple-A Syracuse, was selected by the Mets in the fifth round of the June 2021 draft out of the University of Florida. He was one of several Mets minor leaguers to shine on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night, the Mets got strong starting pitching at every level of their system. From Christian Scott in Triple-A to Kade Morris in Class-A, Mets starters had great nights across the board. Mets affiliates went 3-1 on Tuesday, including a Syracuse victory that was highlighted by Mark Vientos‘ first triple of the year. The Cyclones’ bats remained silent, but St. Lucie’s offense displayed their strengths for yet another night.

The second week of the season was a success for the likes of Syracuse and Brooklyn, who won their series, but not so much for Binghamton and St. Lucie, who lost their series. There were several offensive players, such as Rylan Bannon and Alex Ramírez, who shined for their respective teams, but it was another week dominated by the pitchers, as it was during the first week of the season.

Despite a Binghamton Rumble Ponies loss on Sunday, outfielder Alex Ramírez continues to impress as he recorded a three-hit day. Other performances of note on Sunday were from Luke Ritter, who homered in both ends of Syracuse’s doubleheader, and Nick Lorusso, who recorded three hits and walked off Brooklyn’s win with a home run.
Overall, the Mets’ affiliates went 2-3 on Sunday, with Syracuse splitting their doubleheader.
