The other day, I got an email reminder to renew my domain subscription. My what now? I have a domain? Oh, yeah, that’s right. I used to blog! So here I am. Who knows if anyone else is. I don’t blame you if you’ve forgotten about me, too. I actually do have lots of recipes and product reviews lined up. And classic Lisa, life just always seems to get in the way. How do y’all do it? Handle life, jobs, relationships, keeping plants alive, cooking food, doing laundry, juggling houses, babies, all the things? These past 6 months in Boston have been a blur. Sometimes swimming in a sea of endless comf ..read more

Wildwonder

Going along with more intuitive eating, sugar is off the table. Which, I hardly eat sugar, duh. BUT. My beloved kombucha is typically full of 16g or more. Even if it’s “organic”. Even if the added sugar is mostly just to feed to scoby. I’m finding that any traces of sugar, really mess me up, and I feel less than ideal after chugging my routine booch everyday. So what do I do for a replacement? Luckily, Wildwonder exists. And I’m so thrilled they do! The difference in how I feel after drinking a Wildwonder compared to drinking a regular booch is almost astounding. It could be the probiotic/pre ..read more

Banana Breakfast Cookies

Here’s something I never thought I’d say. I’m kind of done with breakfast? OK, that sounded harsh. I’m done with EARLY breakfasts. Over the last couple years, I’ve been trying to get better about intuitive eating. About listening to my body. About not just sticking to labels and really noticing what foods vibe with my body and which don’t. And one of the biggest takeaways over is that a big breakfast, no matter how healthy, early in the morning, just does NOT set me up for success for the rest of the day. So my eating schedule goes something like this now: 7am: Oat milk coffee with protein pow ..read more

If you live in the Boston area and have been manifesting some new, incredible vegan options in the city, you’re finally getting your wish. Say hello to Plant Pub. Not only is this spot home to tons of incredible plant-based entrees, but they’re also offering some absolutely amazing beer options. I don’t know about you, but most vegan restaurants I’ve been to either: A: Don’t even offer alcohol or, B: Have sad beer or wine options, with an extremely limited drink menu Plant Pub is THE spot for massive burgers and chickn sandwiches, loaded pizzas, decadent desserts and all your favorite craft b ..read more

Jack & Annie’s

If I HAD to recommend only one brand of vegan meats, Jack & Annie’s would be it. Only J & A could make jackfruit creations insanely delicious, mostly gluten-free and with minimal ingredients. I’m not the biggest jackfruit fan, but there is no way in hell, you’d have ANY clue that these addictive nuggets, meatballs and sausages were composed of them! I gotta be honest, in the midst of moving, traveling and cooking for other people, I’ve been fairly dependent on them. I adore their sausage links and sausage patties for a more filling breakfast sandwich on my early mornings. Their chicken ..read more

Is it weird that one of my favorite things about relocating is experiencing new grocery stores and places to get food? Probably not, given my strange love for grocery shopping. And sure, it’s my JOB. Part of meal prepping for clients entails doing all their ingredient shopping. And given that almost everyone has defaulted to Instacart and wanting to avoid stores all together for the past two years, my superb grocery shopping skills and ability to know where to get the best deals is really a coveted need. And my new store of choice now that I’m back in Boston? Star Market! Who shockingly has RE ..read more

Too many life updates and not enough recipes, Lisa! It seems like just a few posts ago, I let y’all know that I moved to Memphis. And surprise, I’m on the move again! This time sans boyfriend, cat or chickens. The past month has been a wild, exhausting, heartbreaking time, but also filled with so much love, support and relief from people I love in Colorado and Boston. Though it was incredibly hard to end a two-year relationship, rehome my bird and pack up my life for what feels like the millionth time in the past few years, I’m excited to head back to…. BOSTON! Initially, it felt like a huge r ..read more

Chickpea Protein Blondies + Broma CBD Almond Butter

I referenced making a lot of the “same old, same old” in my last post, and I literally think I have made these blonde brownies 5 million times. Don’t ask me why I’ve never posted til now! I typically make them with regular peanut butter, but I recently got a shipment of this INSANE CBD chocolate almond butter from Broma, and in an effort to just stop eating it by the spoonful out of the jar (which I HIGHLY recommend doing), I decided to spice things up a little and use some in my favorite, easy brownie mix. Before I get into the recipe, I HAVE to give a huge round of applause to Broma, for thi ..read more

Maybe I should just turn this blog into a quarterly newsletter, since never will I ever be able to keep up with being consistent! In my defense, I haven’t been home at for more than a few days since mid November, so can you really blame me for the lack of posts? And though I ate and cooked very, VERY well during my recent trips to Costa Rica, Florida and Vegas, I was whipping up a lot of the same old, same old, or just literally didn’t have the energy to create an actual post or do anything more than just take a photo or two. And I don’t know about y’all but I am just feeling extremely BLAH th ..read more

Autumn Sangira

Oh, look at me. Getting a little fancy! I love me a good cocktail. What I DON’T love, is when I go to a restaurant or bar and they load the drinks up with fake stuff and sugars. I hardly ever get sangria or fall-ish things when I go out, because I know there’s tons of sweeteners and fake pumpkin/apple spice flavorings in there. And while it’s rare that I get hungover, I DO feel like garbage when I have a drink that has junk in it. Which is why I took it upon myself to create this organic, clean, autumn sangria cocktail that is absolutely delicious, and 100% devoid of anything fake or gross. I ..read more
