It was no different to the performance at Old Trafford in League Cup in October or the one at St James Park in April. The score line was 1-0 but it could have been 3-0 or 2-0 like the aforementioned game. United look as clueless as usual and bar the paint of the bar, Trippier would have deservedly put Newcastle ahead. They did go ahead as Gordon slotted in at the back post. This is a team that has injuries, just like United, yet the cohesion never leaves. A goal was correctly ruled out late on as an Antony strike was diverted by Maguire but I would have been as sheepish as Maguire was if he w ..read more

Manchester United suffered a disastrous draw against Galatasaray on Wednesday night, despite going 2-0, then 3-1 ahead. For the third away game in the group stage, United scored three goals, but only came away with a point, after losing the two previous away games.
Speaking to MUTV after the game, Scott McTominay was frustrated we didn’t score more goals, after having 17 shots.
We’re so disappointed not to come away with more goals than three to be honest, and if you’d said that to us before the evening started, we’d have been delighted with that. Hopefully [we’d also] get another clean shee ..read more

Manchester United beat Everton 3-0 on Sunday to continue our run of great form with a wonder goal from Garnacho, a penalty from Rashford and a dinked finish from Martial.
Bruno Fernandes is usually the penalty taker but he could see Marcus Rashford needed his first league goal for a while so put the time ahead of personal glory and let his teammate take the spot kick.
Speaking to the press ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Galatasaray, Bruno talked about his thinking behind the decision.
No, it was in the moment. I talk about this already. I thought that Marcus needed his first goal, h ..read more

Goodison Park isn’t always an easy ground to go to, let alone with the fans enraged over a 10 point deduction that has just been issued by the Premier League for breaching FFP. Manchester United haven’t shown the greatest fighting mentality this season so there were plenty of reds who were nervous ahead of this afternoon’s game against Everton.
However, Alejandro Garnacho did his bit to silence the crowd when scoring likely the goal of the season after three minutes.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game Garnacho reflected on the goal.
I can’t believe it to be honest. I just did [it] and I d ..read more

Manchester United beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park this afternoon to go six points off the top spot, earning the fifth win in our last six games to put us top of the form chart.
After a world class overhead kick from Alejandro Garnacho early in to the first half, United were under a lot of pressure from Everton. They created lots of great opportunities but failed to make the most of them.
United started the second half playing well and 10 minutes after the restart Anthony Martial was tripped in the box by former red Ashley Young. Despite the referee initially showing a yellow card for a dive ..read more

Some goals just don’t the words to describe. In the third minute, Garnacho was able to produce one. It silenced an Everton crowd that had been relied up by the 10 points deduction handed out by the independent commission and this was their first game back. The first half was a very uncomfortable affair where a combination of Onana and Mainoo stopped the Toffees from equalising. Everton were well on top for the last 30 mins of the first half. The second began the same until Young felled Martial, which was rightly overturned by VAR. Rashford was able to score from the spot to give us breathing ..read more

Diogo Dalot signed for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United as a teenager in the summer of 2018. After 23 appearances in his first campaign, he played in 11 games in all competitions in his second season as he struggled with injuries.
He was loaned out to AC Milan in his third season and many believed this would be the end of his United career, with him getting plenty of game time in Serie A.
However, he then returned to United and has fought Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a starting role at right-back, with Milan interested in making the deal permanent and Borussia Dortmund keen to take him on loan.

Marcus Rashford came under scrutiny a couple of weeks ago when it was reported that he went out to celebrate his birthday following the derby day defeat.
While you could argue it’s perfectly normal for a human being to not cancel their birthday celebration following a defeat in a game of football, social media was full of United fans who were livid with our no.10 for going out.
Roy Keane, speaking on the Stick To Football podcast, acknowledged it probably wasn’t too smart to hold the party in town, but didn’t have a problem with him celebrating his birthday.
I wouldn’t be too harsh on him. Fo ..read more
