There has been some media speculation that Justin Trudeau could be on the verge of dumping one of his most vocal supporters, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, and no one should be surprised. Time and time again, Justin Trudeau has shown he has loyalty to no one but himself. Trudeau was responsible for Finance Minister Bill Morneau leaving. Trudeau got rid of the first Indigenous Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould when she refused to compromise the justice system for Trudeau. I rarely read the same book more than once, but I have read Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance many times. I like the simplicity of Vance's message: Children need to have support at home to succeed, at a young age they have to have responsibilities and also repercussions if they shirk these responsibilities, we have to stop relying on government to do things for us, we need to take ownership of our lives, and we have to look after our own country before we assist others internationally.
